Education / Formation
Education, or rather Formation, is the goal of this vital area of ministry for Holy Cross Parish.  Beginning and continuing to grow in love and service of God and neighbor is a life-long process.  This area has various ministries available for learning as well as serving the Lord.

To register for 2012-2013 religious formation classes using our online form >>click here<<. Your enrollment will be directed to the proper person. You will receive an email confirming your information has been submitted. If you fail to receive a confirming email or wish to confirm your information has been received please contact Holy Cross.

Please note enrollment is not complete until we have received registration fees. It is our goal to encourage participation in Religious Formation if you would like to enroll your child under a reduced fee or paid scholarship please contact Dale Leblanc, Director of Religious Education, to discuss.

Adult Education / Formation Adult Education / Formation provides learning opportunities for adults using various bible study programs, spiritual direction, and various other spiritual educational opportunities to grow in the faith.
Elihu Elihu, the Holy Cross Retreat team, is comprised of college-age individuals.
Faith Formation for Children & YouthChildren's Religious Faith Formation provides teaching opportunities in Preschool, Elementary, Jr. High, High School and Vacation Bible School. 
Religious Formation Board The Holy Cross Catholic Church Religious Formation Board oversees all youth formation programs, including educational classes, Elihu (young adult retreat team), confirmation retreat, Families on the Move activities and all of its volunteer ministers.
Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)The letters "RCIA" stand for the "Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults". RCIA is the process by which adults are prepared for initiation into our Roman Catholic Church. 
Sacramental Preparation for Minors
The sacraments, instituted by Jesus Christ, are an intregal part of the Catholic faith. Holy Cross, in compliance with the guideline of the Diocese of Lafayette, assist parents in the preparation of their children for the sacrament.
 
Safe Environment Guidelines Anyone 18-years-old and older who works with youth must be certified yearly in the  Safe Environment for Children Program for Diocese of Lafayette.
School Uniform OutreachSchool Uniform Outreach is a coalition of Lafayette Parish Churches of all denominations, whose mission is to provide uniforms to needy students.
